This is to inform the general public that the Center for Japanese Studies and Student Exchange, Nagasaki University is inviting applications for the MEXT scholarship for the 2024/2025 academic session. This prestigious scholarship offered by the Japanese government is fully funded and visioned to support students from other countries to pursue their studies in Japan.

Since 1954, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan has offered scholarships to international students under eight categories. These are the amounts of the monthly stipends: The maximum amount of 145000 yen is provided for postgraduate students of the school, while 117000 yen is paid to postgraduate students of the university. For instance, research students are given 144,000 to 145,000 yen per month and undergraduate students get 117,000 yen per month.
