Institute For Advanced Study Fellowships in USA 2025/2026
Only junior and senior scholars who meet certain criteria for suitability will be considered for the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) Fellowships in 2025-2026 across all fields of the social sciences and related disciplines.
This distinguished course provides a chance to learn in the USA and about 20 participants are chosen every year for residential scholarships. Half of the fellows focus their projects on the Institute’s annual theme, while the others may do projects of their own choosing, so there is a good mix that fosters academic development and interaction.

Requirements and eligibility criteria;
- Must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent, awarded no later than October 15th of the application year.
- The fellowship is residential and runs for the full academic year, from September to May.
Fellowship Benefits:
- Maximum stipend of $80,000.
- The School covers 50% of the base salary, with the expectation that additional grants will cover the remainder.
- Fellows, or “Members,” gain access to campus resources such as offices, libraries, subsidized dining, and housing.
