AAUW International Fellowships 2024 for Graduate Students
The AAUW International Fellowships 2024 for Graduate Students is all set for interested and eligible international students who are invited to submit applications for the program which will be held in the United States. The aim of the fellowship is for academic achievement and demonstrated commitment to women and girls.
The AAUW International Fellowship Program is designed to support international women in pursuing their academic careers in postgraduate studies in the United States. The International Fellowship was founded in 1917, and since then, it has been granting a special kind of award to women, who are associated with Graduate Women International (see the Country Affiliates link), either for studies outside of the US or in this country (except for the candidate’s home country). Financial assistance is provided along the way. It covers both undergraduate as well as graduate studies in approved U.S. educational institutions.

Requirements and eligibility criteria for AAUW International Fellowships 2024 for Graduate Students:
- Have citizenship in a country other than the U.S. or possess a non-immigrant visa if residing in the U.S.
- Hold an academic degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree, completed by November 15, 2023.
- Intend to devote themselves full-time to the proposed academic plan during the fellowship year.
- Intend to return to their home country to pursue a professional career after completing their studies.
- Be proficient in English and confirm proficiency by submitting the required documentation.
- For master’s/first professional degree and doctoral applicants, have applied by November 15, 2023, to an accredited U.S. institution for the fellowship year.
- For postdoctoral applicants, provide proof of their doctorate and indicate where they will conduct their research.

- Doctoral: $25,000
- Postdoctoral: $50,000
- Funding for educational expenses, living expenses, dependent child care, and travel to professional meetings, conferences, or seminars (up to 10% of the fellowship total).
