Zonta International AMELIA Earhart Fellowship 2024

Application is ongoing for suitably qualified students who wish to pursue their PhD career in aerospace engineering are encouraged to apply for the Zonta International AMELIA Earhart Fellowship 2024/2025 academic session.

The 10K Fellowship for Women in Aerospace aims to sponsor up to 30 female PhD students every year who are pursuing aerospace engineering or space science coursework. Receiving $10,000 each, the funding can be used at any accredited university or college where recipients wish to pursue postgraduate studies in these fields and receive their Doctoral degrees.

Requirements and eligibility criteria Zonta International AMELIA Earhart Fellowship

Women of any nationality pursuing a Ph.D./doctoral degree.
Applicants must demonstrate a strong academic record with research focused on aerospace engineering or space sciences.
Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a Ph.D./doctoral program and have completed at least one year of that program, or hold a master’s degree in an aerospace-applied field at the time of application.
Applicants must not complete their Ph.D. or doctoral program before April 2025.
Post-doctoral research programs are not eligible.
Individuals who are club members or have direct membership with Zonta International, as well as employees of Zonta International and Zonta Foundation for Women, and their close family members, are not eligible.
Previous recipients of the Amelia Earhart Fellowship cannot apply to renew the Fellowship for a second year.

Qualified candidates should submit their applications online through the designated platform.
The Zonta International Amelia Earhart Fellowship Committee reviews all applications.
The committee recommends recipients to the Zonta International Board based on the established criteria.
All applicants are evaluated according to the criteria outlined in the application requirements. The details of these evaluations remain confidential and are not disclosed to applicants.
