Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Scholarship 2024 and Leadership Program
The Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation calls for applications for the Trudeau Graduate Scholarships and the Trudeau Doctoral Fellowship 2024. This is the purpose of leadership development; to produce individuals who can translate plans into solutions that enhance the quality of life of communities and the whole society.
Selected students will receive:
- A 3-year scholarship that offers them the opportunity to attend their PhD program with financial support.
- Management development not in a conventional university environment
- Mentorship and fellowship programs offer hope and opportunities to learn and grow from other professionals in the field.
- Attendance of “Brave Spaces” where people can share their opinions Frequent engagement in “Brave Spaces” where people express their opinions

Requirements and eligibility Criteria Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Scholarship and Leadership Program 2024
- Applicants must be registered or accepted into year one or two of a full-time doctoral program.
- Expected to complete doctoral studies in 2027 or later.
- Field of study related to humanities or human sciences relevant to Canada’s future.
- Doctoral work must relate to at least one of the Foundation’s Four Themes.
Canadian citizens studying at Canadian or foreign institutions, or non-Canadian enrolled in Canadian institutions. - Leadership development through diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
- Generous financial support for doctoral research.
- Membership in the vibrant community of Scholars, Mentors, and Fellows.
- Leadership training and experiential learning opportunities.
- Language proficiency in official languages and Indigenous languages.
- Lifelong membership in the alumni network.
- Up to $40,000/year for tuition and living expenses.
- Up to $20,000/year for language learning, travel, accommodations, and research expenses.

To apply for the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Leadership Program:
Register for an account on the Foundation’s application portal when the competition opens. If you have an existing account from a previous competition, create a new application.
Fill out the application, providing:
- Demographic information for statistical purposes.
- Answers (200 to 400 words) to four essay questions.
- Information on your doctoral project (200 to 400 words).
- Names and email addresses of two referees, one academic.
- Details on language skills, post-secondary education, achievements, and relevant work experience.
- Upload transcripts for all post-secondary education, excluding CEGEP information if applicable.
