LSETF/UNDP Vocational Training Program 2023
The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) is currently soliciting applications from suitably qualified Nigeria candidates for the UNDP Vocational Training program 2023/2024 session.
This Vocational Training Program is organized by LSETF/UNDP and is located in Lagos, Nigeria. The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) was established by The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund Law 2016 to provide financial support to residents of Lagos State, for job, wealth creation and to develop their career. The Training Centers and Skill Acquisition Centers have been put in place to empower the citizens of Lagos in different vocational areas or fields.
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is a United Nations agency tasked with helping countries eliminate poverty and achieve sustainable economic growth and human development. The UNDP emphasizes developing local capacity towards long-term self-sufficiency and prosperity. Based at United Nations Headquarters in New York City, it is the largest UN development aid agency, with offices in 177 countries. The UNDP is funded entirely by voluntary contributions from UN member states. The UNDP was founded on 22 November 1965 with the merging of the Expanded Programme of Technical Assistance (EPTA) and the Special Fund in 1958.

The Fund will operate with an initial capital of N25Billion contributed over four years by the Lagos State Government, but will also raise additional funding from various sources including donor partners, development agencies, corporate organizations and individuals.
LSETF will focus on promoting entrepreneurship by improving access to finance, strengthening the institutional capacity of MSMEs and formulating policies designed to improve the business environment in Lagos State. In addition, the Fund will also develop programmes designed to train and place unemployed Lagos residents in jobs; while also focusing on programmes designed to drive innovation within the Lagos ecosystem.
