The master’s scholarship is available to talented and committed students who would like to be leaders in creating change in areas of nutrition, public health, public policy, and sustainable agriculture in the African region. Requirements and eligibility criteria;

Must be admissible to one of the eligible programs at McGill University.
Should not have previously registered for or completed a master’s degree.
Must be a citizen of and currently residing in a Sub-Saharan African country.
Must hold a valid passport and meet the requirements for a Canadian study permit.
Individuals with dual citizenship, refugee status, or permanent residency in the US, Canada, UK, or EU are not eligible.
Must have a strong history of leadership, service, and community involvement.
Must demonstrate a commitment to giving back to their home community.
Must be under 35 years of age at the time of application.

Interested candidates for the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship at McGill University must first apply to the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. Only those who pass the initial screening will be invited to apply for their chosen program of study through McGill’s admissions process.
