Ursinus College is a private liberal arts college in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1869 and occupies a 170-acre campus. Ursinus College’s forerunner was the Freeland Seminary founded in 1848. Its $127 million endowment helps support about 1500 students. Students choose from 60 courses of study. The Ruby, Ursinus’ yearbook, was first published by the Class of 1897. The name was a tribute to Professor Samuel Vernon Ruby,[7]: 16 who collapsed as he was entering Bomberger Hall in 1896 and died in its chapel, surrounded by students and teachers who had gathered there for morning prayers.

Approximately 99 percent of all Ursinus students receive some form of assistance. For 2022-2023 Ursinus administered over $76 million in financial aid and over $54.6 million in the form of institutional scholarships and grants that do not have to be repaid.

Application Procedures for the 2023/2024 Ursinus College Financial Aid and Scholarships (how to apply):

The FAFSA is a form that prospective freshmen can use to apply for need-based financial aid. In December 2023, the FAFSA for 2024–25 will be made available. Before submitting the FAFSA, students can submit an application for admission. You only need to apply for admission to the college if you do not want to apply for need-based financial aid. Instead, you can skip filling out the FAFSA.
