James Madison Graduate Fellowship applications are now being accepted from both domestic and foreign candidates for the 2024 sessions. Candidates for the Master‘s degree are welcome to apply.
This Graduate Research Fellowship is an opportunity that offers $24,000 to qualified domestic and international Master students. This program is hosted by US accredited institution based in the United States and sponsored by James Madison Memorial Fellowship Foundation, USA. For a Master‘s degree in American history, teaching, or education, the Fellowship will pay $24,000. After completing their studies, students must be determined to pursue a career as an American history teacher.
The James Madison Memorial Fellowship Foundation was established by the United States Congress in 1986 to encourage outstanding current and future secondary school teachers of American history, American history, American government, and social studies in grades 7 through 12 to undertake graduate study of the roots, framing, principles, and development of the Constitution of the United States. The Foundation thus permanently commemorates the bicentennial of the Constitution and honors James Madison, fourth President of the United States and generally acknowledged “Father of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.”

The scholarship can be applied to any US accredited institution based in the United States. All fellowship recipients will also partake in a summer institute on the Constitution, a trademark portion of the fellowship program. Application Procedures for the 2023/2024 James Madison Graduate Fellowships in USA (how to apply):
In order to apply, interested candidates must enroll in a graduate program at a US-accredited university located in the US. They can then submit an online application for the fellowship after this step. Applying starts on September 17.
