Requirements and eligibility criteria for Graduate Entrance Scholarship 2024 at University of Alberta:

Applicants must be newly admitted students in a master’s or doctoral program for the specified terms.
Applicants can be domestic or international students.
Applicants must be enrolled in either course-based or thesis-based programs.
Applicants must have an Admission GPA of 3.7 or higher.
Applicants must be registered as full-time students during the tenure of the award.

Award Tenure:

The tenure of this award is September 1, 2024 – August 31, 2025, regardless of the admit term of the student.

Stipend Value:

$17,500 for Master’s students
$21,000 for Doctoral students

Additional Funding:

Domestic students will receive an additional $7,100 to help cover tuition and fees.
International students will receive an additional $10,000 to help cover tuition and fees.
The funds will be applied directly to the student’s tuition and fees account.

Requirement:

Students must have a Canadian bank account and Canadian address to receive the award.

Only students admitted to the specific terms listed under the Eligibility criteria are eligible to be considered for this award. Your Department can provide you with information on their internal selection process and assist you with the application for admission, which is a crucial step in being nominated to the Graduate Funding Office for consideration.
