Ashesi University is a private, non-profit university located in the hills of Berekuso, overlooking Ghana’s capital Accra. The mission of Ashesi University is to educate ethical, entrepreneurial leaders in Africa; to cultivate within students the critical thinking skills, the concern for others, and the courage it will take to transform the continent. In 2018, Ashesi University was awarded a charter by the president of Ghana, granting it full independence as a nationally recognized degree-granting institution. It was the youngest university to have been granted a presidential charter in Ghana’s history. It is a member of the Council of Independent Universities, the Association of African Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities. It was founded in the year 2002.

ETH Zurich is a public research university in Zürich, Switzerland. Founded by the Swiss federal government in 1854, it was modeled on the École polytechnique in Paris, with the stated mission to educate engineers and scientists; the school focuses primarily on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, although its 16 departments span a variety of disciplines and subjects. ETH Zurich was founded on 7 February 1854 by the Swiss Confederation and began giving its first lectures on 16 October 1855 as a polytechnic institute at various sites throughout the city of Zürich. It was initially composed of six faculties: architecture, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, forestry, and an integrated department for the fields of mathematics, natural sciences, literature, and social and political sciences.

The scholarship is a fully funded educational program that covers full tuition, academic fees, laptop & equipment, accommodation, health insurance, one trip home each year, monthly stipend for other living expenses. It provides mentorship opportunities covering personal career development, supported by professional experts and guided by an experienced mentor. Also included in the program highlight are internship opportunities, job offer and two certificates to be awarded on the successful completion of the program.
