Requirements and eligibility criteria University of Graz International Merit Scholarships in Austria
For Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs:
- Must be Austrian citizens, equivalent EEA citizens, stateless persons, or refugees as per 4 StudFG.
- Compliance with the entitlement period (study period plus one additional semester).
- Minimum grade point average of 2.0.
- Completion of at least 48 ECTS credit points during the assessment period.
- Adherence to good scientific practice and ethical conduct in academic pursuits.
For Doctoral Programs in Business, Economics, and Social Sciences:
- Completion of the doctoral program within the entitlement period.
- Doctoral thesis graded “Excellent (1)” or “Good (2)”.
- Grade point average of all course examinations not worse than 1.5.
- Doctoral exam and thesis defense graded “Excellent (1)” or “Good (2)”.
- Adherence to good scientific practices.
For Supplementary Programs:
- Completion of at least 34 ECTS credit points within the assessment period.
- Grade point average of 1.5 or better.
- Adherence to the specified duration of the supplementary program.
For All Study Programs of the School of Business, Economics, and Social Sciences:
- Free elective courses and Career-oriented Internships are not considered.
- Recognitions are considered only if achieved within the assessment period.
- “Successful completion of a course” is used only if other courses are insufficient.
- Completion dates of October or March are considered in the preceding semester.
Benefits:
- Scholarships range from EUR 750 to EUR 3,600, administered privately by the Dean of Students, irrespective of the applicant’s financial need.
