Mitacs Globalink Research Internship 2024 for International Students
Mitacs Globalink are pleased to welcome suitably qualified international students who wish to boost their careers to apply for their ongoing Research Internship 2024 program. The program is opened for undergraduates.
Each year, high achievers complete a research internship of 12 weeks under the instruction of the members of the faculty from Canadian academic institutions across sciences, social sciences and humanities, and engineering and mathematics.

Requirements and Eligibility Criteria Mitacs Globalink Research Internship 2024 for International Students
- Must be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
- Enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or combined undergraduate/master’s program at an eligible institution.
- Must have 1-3 semesters remaining in their program as of fall 2025.
- Meet the GPA requirements for their country of study.
- Apply to a minimum of three and a maximum of ten projects, selecting projects from at least three different Canadian provinces.
- Fluent in the oral and written language of the project (English and/or French).
- Available to complete a 12-week internship between May 1 and October 31, with a start date between May 1st and July 31st.
- Must not have been awarded a Globalink Research Internship project in the past.
Not affiliated with institutions listed as NROs or involved in research advancing a Sensitive Technology Research Area (STRA).
Participating Countries:
Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Taiwan, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States.

Review Eligibility Criteria:

- Ensure your passport is valid until at least January 2026. If you don’t have a valid passport yet, apply for one as you’ll need it if your application is successful.
