Requirements and eligibility criteria African Development Bank (AfDB) 2024 Senior Internal Auditor
Education:
Master’s degree in Audit, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
Preferably combined with an internationally recognized professional accounting/auditing qualification (e.g., “Expert Comptable,” Chartered/Certified Public Accountant).
Experience:
At least 5 years of auditing experience in a globally recognized professional accounting firm or an International Financial Institution.
Practical data analytics experience (preferred).
Knowledge & Skills:
Expertise in private and public sector operations, financial instruments, and information systems (e.g., SAP Hana, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Integrated Audit Approach).
Strong interpersonal, supervisory, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to influence and inspire team members.
Work Environment:
Ability to handle sensitive issues in a multicultural environment.
Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues.
Performance:
Proven ability to meet deadlines with quality results that exceed client expectations.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in applying international audit standards to produce high-quality audit reports.
Effective communication skills (written and oral) in English or French, with a preference for working knowledge of both languages.
Proficient in computer-aided audit tools (e.g., ACL, Pentana, TeamMate) and data analytical tools (preferred).
