International Postgraduate Research Scholarship 2024 at Griffith University
The Griffith University is keen on welcoming highly intellectual international students who wish to further their studies in Australia to partake on their ongoing International Postgraduate Research Scholarship program for the 2024/2025 academic year.
This scholarship opportunity is accessible during the University’s Continuous Scholarship Round. It provides coverage for tuition fees for Postgraduate candidates for up to three years and research master’s candidates for up to two years. Additionally, it includes Overseas Student Health Cover for the applicant and any dependents throughout the scholarship duration.
Research applicants must hold a visa for their program’s length plus an additional eight months to accommodate interactive thesis marking. PhD candidates will require 57 months of overseas health coverage. While Griffith University scholarship recipients will receive cover for the initial 42 months of their program, those undertaking a PhD will need to cover the remaining 15 months and provide evidence of coverage upon accepting their offer.

Requirements and eligibility criteria International Postgraduate Research Scholarship 2024 at Griffith University
- Must not be domestic students, defined as Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, holders of Australian Permanent Humanitarian visas, or New Zealand citizens.
- Must be commencing or enrolled in an HDR program at Griffith University eligible for GUIPRS support.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (AQF 8) with First Class Honours or an equivalent level of attainment recognized by Griffith University.
- Must not have completed a degree at the same or higher level as the HDR program they are commencing or enrolled in.
- If seeking recognition for prior candidature, must not have completed more than 12 months of candidature at Griffith University or another institution.
- Must not have previously held the same or equivalent scholarship, except if terminated within six months of payments starting, held for a lower-level degree, or applying for a scholarship transfer.
- Must not have held a Commonwealth Government Australia Award scholarship in the two years before commencing the award, unless approved by the Commonwealth Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
